Managing mental and financial health
Professionals (especially young) do not receive professional education to manage their mental and financial health. There is no direct guidebook for them to manage when they're building their life and career, especially through the COVID changes.
These changes can have a negative impact on their mental and financial health: lack of certainty, unemployment, lack of funds to pay for urgent costs, loss of business, personal trauma and work vs life balance.
Budgeting is a way to support and mange strains and costs in life, from leaving education and building a successful career. These are not cash relevant only but also related to ‘time’, ‘wellbeing’, ‘opportunities’, ‘workload’ and ‘relationships’.
